PAYING FOR PUPPIES

DEPOSIT

A deposit is required to hold a chosen puppy until the new owner can take possession of that puppy at 8 weeks of age.

Deposits are non-refundable. The only exception whereby your deposit will be refunded will occur: if for some reason the puppy does not pass the Veterinarian Health Check and cannot be released to you on his or her specified available date. If this should happen, your money will be fully refunded or you may choose another puppy if one is available.

Either the “deposit” or “full payment” must be made to Shady Hill within 5 days from the date you pick out your puppy. Otherwise, Shady Hill cannot agree to hold that puppy for you and it will be offered to the next interested buyer.

REMAINING COSTS OF PUPPY

If a deposit and subsequent hold was placed on a puppy that was under the age of 8 weeks:

“The total cost for the puppy” plus “the cost of any agreed upon shipping or delivery fees ” must be secured by Shady Hill - by the time the puppy reaches 8 weeks of age and “prior to delivery of” or “picking up” your new puppy.

Puppies cannot be picked up or shipped until all money due has been transferred securely into the seller's bank account.

SHIPMENT

Shady Hill will work with you to find professional, adequate shipping at the lowest possible costs - depending upon what is available at the time. The cost of shipping is not included in the price of the puppy and will need to be paid by the buyer.

HOLDING PUPPIES PAST 8 WEEKS OF AGE

Shady Hill does not mind holding puppies for customers after full payment has been received.

However, after the puppy is 10 weeks old: a boarding fee of $8.00 per day, plus any medical charges to keep the puppy current on his/her health schedule will be applied.
